Play Date – The Band

Well, we were just another band out of Boston Jupiter, just trying to make ends meet… Now, that’s not how it goes. Let’s try this again.

A few years ago Rich moved to Florida from Long Island and found a band with Will. Along the way they met with Blake, but it wasn’t the right time for Blake to join yet. Then Ralph moved from Long Island and answered our ad for a God-like drummer. A few pints later Ralph became our backbone. Let’s bring back Blake and her amazing range, angelic sounding vocals and master of a smooth pop sound. She knew this was something good and signed on. Now we’re on our way!

We remembered hearing Kelly when she sang at the rehearsal studio, but when she walked in to tryout for us, and killed us with her punchy bright, aggressive, rock& roll sound, we knew we had the formula for a double-female fronted party band. This is really starting to come together.

Lastly, in moves Steven. He’s not from Long Island, but his parents are. So get this…. While he’s auditioning for us (shhhh.. don’t tell him this, but he was in during the first 5 minutes with his killer tone and tasty solos), he mentions that his parents are from the same Long Island town Ralph is from. So it turns out that Steven’s mother was an adversary in their High School’s Battle of the Bands! Small world. Steven, you’re in! We’re complete.

So we’re new to you, but we’re experienced and know the scene and love what we play. We’re playing a few private parties, but we are ready to rock out your Bar, Club, Brewery, Arena or Stadium with our mix of faithfully recreated cover tunes from every decade, with a few mash-ups and surprises that will get your guests mooooving and grooovin’ in no time.

Play Date The Band Details:

Play Date is a 6 person Rock and Pop Party Band based in Jupiter, FL. We have two female co-lead singers and 4 musicians (lead guitar, rhythm guitar/keys, bass, drums). We play a wide diversity of cover material that starts in the 1960’s and stops over in every decade to the present. From The Beatles to Lizzo, we try to perform music that is fun, danceable and memorable for your patrons and guests.

Play Date is a fully equipped band with a mixer and PA system or fully capable of plugging into an existing system at your venue. With 4 musicians, Play Date can perform in smaller spaces.

Introducing the Members of Play Date:

Kelly Darling Snow has been performing for crowds in her native New Hampshire for over 30 years. Her strong bluesy voice will get your attention when she rocks out or brings balance to a terrific pop song. Kelly works in the North County area in the hospitality business.	Blake Cohen is a veteran of the South Florida scene where her versatility to go from ballads to Rock & Roll completes our duo of singers. Blake works in education.	Ralph Rodriguez was keeping the beat for the best of Long Island’s bands, but yearned to live the SoFl lifestyle so now he keeps the beat where the sun shines. Ralph is an executive in the emerging field of Blockchain.
Will Jolly comes from a family of South Florida Bass players, so he has a reputation to live up to and does with his steady groves. Will spends he daytime hours employed in retail.	Rich Rosa is another Long Island transplant. In addition to bringing hockey sticks to the Sunshine State, Rich brings his guitar and keyboards to layer our sound. Rich is an executive in the Broadcast Television business.	Steven Ryan is our lead guitarist and our tone master. A member of many Florida acts throughout the years, Steven brings his sound and solos to give us our punch. Steven is in the medical services field locally.
